I didn't see one of these already, so here we go.

Claudio Simonetti performing the theme to "Demons" live. Badass.

Auf de Mar's "Followed the Waves"

Primal Scream's "Exterminator (remix)"

I concur with this. Downloaded it last week and have been enjoying it quite a bit since then.

The new year finds me full of nice stuff.

Lilly Allen-It's Not Me, It's You
Much more melodic. The single, "The Fear" is catchy as hell!

Ladyhawke-Ladyhawke
The opening "Magic" is a nice little ditty. It reminds me of Animotion. Very stompy catchy synth pop.

Kaiser Chiefs-Off With Their Heads
Very Jam-ish Brit pop. Also extremely catchy.

Listening to the new Kaiser Chiefs as well. Very nice.

Also checking out The Fireman CD.

There is so much great music out right now. I am buried with lots of new stuff and have been sorting it all out.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs-It's Blitz
Holy moley this is really good. It's like Siouxsie Sioux is singing with Blondie.

Doves-Kingdom of Rust
Finally they rise above mediocrity and do something really nifty.

Pet Shop Boys-Yes
The czars of pop have made a smooth pop record with a different texture then some of their last records. Plus the first reference to Captain Britain in a pop record.

Depeche Mode-Sounds of the Universe
These guys have kind of sucked lately. On this record they have almost redeemed themselves and clawed themselves out of the dumper

Camera Obscura-My Maudlin Career
A wonderfully tight record with Spectorish harmonies, twangy guitars and really terrific melodies.

M. Ward-Hold Time
Wowsers this is shiny and polished. I really like his song writing these days. It isn't as dreary as some of his other stuff.

A lot of Ballboy and Camera Obscura.

Things I am Listening to:

Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Club Band- As was the case with their previous re-workings of Pink Floyd and Radiohead, The Easy Star All Stars have a go at Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Very Nice.

Also listening to the Depeche Mode and Yeah Yeah Yeahs albums.

Manchester Orchestra Mean Everything to Nothing Supporting the locals- they also played Criminal on Record Store Day.

Sonic Youth-the Eternal
A very dense and wonderful record. You can hear them freeing themselves of all the major label BS with each second.

Bad Veins-Bad Veins
They are from Cincy and have a sort of grimy sound but with some pop injected into it. A nice debut.

Grizzly Bear-Veckatimest
Wonderful pop from Brooklyn! 'Two Weeks" may be the song of the summer!
