OK, so, I do have magpie tendencies. It's a sad state of affairs and I have learned to accept my weakness. This means that I often watch really cheesy sci-fi or something else by a certain actor and I enjoy it. Occassionally, it also means that due to my fandom-ness, I find really good TV.
Example: Paul Gross Love
The cheesy: I own two CDs by Paul Gross (with David Kelley). I adore them and know all the words; my hub loves me so much he put the CDs on his mp3 player so I could listen to them i…

During a recent "Weekend Justice," I feel that I was defamed by someone.
A someone who has yet to follow me on Twitter and continues not to GIVE ME MY PRIZE for his twitter "find the missing word" request. But I digress...
But I am not bitter. No, not me. For I have joy in my heart and a spring in my step and...
No. Wait, I AM BITTER! I am bitter because I was defamed and let me share with you why.
See, I am the director for a small little Track at a local, sparsely (<-- HA!) attended sci…

Listening to one of the "Nuts" podcasts, and found out that I'm at least 3 years (perhaps more) older than Widge.
And I think about that much older than Uncle Scrooge.
I'm gonna go drown my old, decrepit sorrows now. Thanks.
*SIGH*

A few questions, for the masses:
1. What does it take to get someone - who shall remain nameless
Ken, you rat bastard - to follow me on Twitter?
2. WHERE'S MY GODDAMN PRIZE!?!
3. Is it really less than six weeks until D'Con? God save me.
4. Um, so, did anyone go see "the movie" this weekend? I was out of town (my story, and I'm sticking to it, dammit!) so couldn't go...but I'm gonna, I swear!
5. Why doesn't my BlackBerry Pearl have GPS on it? The new ones do...
6. Maybe I would have…

Dear god in himmel, I am a shallow person. I guess this is the first step towards growth or whatever but admitting must be the first step I think.
I love cheesy and not-very-good tv. I love it for lots of reason - many explained before. I love turning off the brain for an hour. I love just laughing at bad science, sociology, boys that write Mary Sues who would never give them the time of day.
But the depth...height...edges of the puddle of my shallowness all has to do with the men. I love Torc…

OK, so things I learned:
1. Ken and Widget are planning to dip a small child in glitter for "monkey magic." In many states, this would get them arrested. In my own sphere of influence, this means I'm keeping them away from my child. :)
2. Boxer vs. Brief magic --- Ken's idea of boxer brief magic stuns Widge.
(and my perverted head goes to very very bad places...*repeats to self* Will not write stories like that about friends...will not write...DAMMIT! But then they talked about "Nights for Lo…

So, I listened to the podcast and these are my comments:
- Ken is a very cynical bastard who "gets it comped" (instead of paying for it) and is not looking forward to anything.
NOTE: Ken, you better be looking forward to seeing me! You evil bastard.
- Scott has a titanium spork. He has plans to use it. Just boggle at that. G'won. Take some boggling time.
- My name was brought up...and Tuffley? Be afraid, be very afraid.
And Doc? I have no problem with cheap Canadians. In fact, I am wa…

I love Starbucks. Yes, they are a behemoth and a merchandising whore. Yes, they are the evil corporate empire that many hate. Yeah, yeah, whatever.
I love them.
I love them in a very big and almost unhealthy way. I'm already teaching my son to love them.
My favorite drink during winter is: venti, half-pumps mochaccino with light whip, extra shot. My favorite drink during summer is: grande, mocha lite frappucchino, light whip, add a shot.
The extra shot in the frappucchino confuses them, the…

I
know that putting a football blog on this site is a bit strange but bear with me.
As you know, my Dad died in early September. To say my dad was the biggest Gamecock fan ever is not enough. Dad loved the Gamecocks like Dindrane loves cute kittens. Like ScottC loves cute babies (no, he doesn't eat them!). Like Roz loves goggles. Like Tuffley and RobC love good British bands. Like Rob the Zombie loves Dr. Who. Like Widge loves Chuthulu...
Wait, that last part di…

First and foremost, Dindrane, if you have never seen this movie, I will cry. This is the most special bestest movie ever! It's full of all those terrible cliches and it's beautiful! You MUST go watch. We can IM it while you watch, if you want. :)
The Wild Women of Wongo is up as a contest on NeedCoffee.com. If you have never seen this movie, well, as you see above, I shall cry but also I must tell you to watch it. It's TERRIBLE! Beautifully, beautifully terrible. It also hol…

Now, if you have ever read my LJ, you know I have an unholy love of the show Stargate: Atlantis. I love this show with an unholy glee. Yes, yes, it is partially because of the pretty (ie - Joe Flannigan) and the snarky (ie - David Hewlett). However, that is only the top-most layer of my shallow love of this show. Please, do not try to understand the show. Do not ask that it make sense. It is cheesier than cheese curds before they are made into extra-sharp Wisconsin cheddar. This is c
