My Steampunk Projects

So I had opened up a Blogspot account awhile ago and have not really used it. After designing print items all day the last thing I want to do is to work in Dreamweaver and figure out Fetch. So this is easy enough. Well with my new projects I dusted it off and added my Steampunk projects I have been working on. One of them is a case for my iTouch and the other is my bike. Yeah, I can't ever stop talking about that. I will feature my word of the week there as well. http://spazhouse.blogspot.com… Continue

The Word of the Week

So, two years ago I started an outdoor installation projects I called the Word of the Week and Please Leave a Message. I created large letters (about 12 inches high) out of astrobright ® Fuschia paper that was laminated. I would then find obscure and less known words and place them in front of Spazhouse. I would Then shoot the word and then upload it on various sites with its definition. I had several articles printed and a section for an artshow displaying the compiled words. The problems I ha… Continue

Kindness before Valentines Day

Human Kindness it does exist. So, I stopped by my neighborhood Gourmet to go shop to pick up some of Sheff’s awesome crabcakes for dinner. Well was a bit busy and I overheard the owner tell an elderly couple that they were sold out. Needless to say they left without buying anything. The fellow in front of me asked if it were true that there was indeed no crab cakes and that he placed an order earlier for six of them “Oh we have those for you” said the owner. She then claimed that she felt bad… Continue

A nice article about our friend George Romero

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/10/movies/10onst.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=George+Romero&st=nyt&oref=slogin Above is the link to a nice article I found while reading the NY Times this afternoon while sitting out side in lovely 70 degree weather. One can't waste the sun if it warm and pleasant outside and you have all day to read newspapers and nothing else is pressing. I think I got bit of a tan. I know, just hate me. You see, I moved to Florida so I can work on how to act when i reti… Continue

When Push Comes to Shove

Teacher: Ben, you got a six out of ten. That's not great. Ben: Mr. L*, I'm gonna tell you my life motto. It is, 'If you push me over the edge, I will grab you by the neck and pull you down with me... And then push you into Hell.' Overheard NY Continue

Found Old Mozilla Browser

So, I have not been posting as much since work takes away some vital surfing time. Also, I am still working on OS 9 in the Mac world. This means that Explorer is almost a waste of time to use since so many sites are not supporting that browser. We do have several systems on OS X but, they are not my normal work stations. So, I did a hunt for an old web browser and found an Mozilla bowser that works fair enough as long as I save my work in case my machine freezes. Always save your work. Anyway… Continue

The Mist

I spent Black Friday at the movies. It was safer inside than out. There was already one accident outside the mall area due to early crazed shoppers. No one was hurt apparently. Frank Darabont really came through on his stake of this scary novella. The movie was not disappointing. A couple of things minor though were a bit odd. Such as, no one in Maine has a gun except for the new pretty resident in town and the only one who could shoot is Toby Jones' (from the other Capote movie) character Olli… Continue

From The Gray Lady - Ike Liked Civil Rights - 1957 not 1967

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/12/opinion/12nichols.html?_r=1&oref=slogin I have been on an Eisenhower kick in the last couple of months. I watch a film about the Military Industrial Complex and Eisenhower's warning to the the American sheep of the United States in regards to its preliferation. I believed that he was just a War Time Hero made president all these years. Now I read in an op ed piece by David Nichols that Eisenhower (I was never keen in High School to learn anything about him… Continue

Don't Drink Beverly

9ish Thursday. I waited in cattle line for pre-reg tickets only to get held up in line by the extensive last name starts with an S line. Most of us were able to move about. Not many H last names so obtaining my badge went quickly. Nothing going on until 1 for th estart, so I ventured over to the Aquarium. You Atlanta people are lucky to have such an item. I will have to tell of the marine life exploitation show that exists near Pensacola one day. Anyway the Sea Otters and the Whale Sharks are a… Continue

Spaz report for Dragon Con 07 - 1 Riding Big Grey Dog.

Well I started my adventure at 10pm Thursday. This year I decided to travel by the big Grey Dog. An hour flight now costs 248. 00 while a trip to NYC is about 250.00 Go figure and I wanted to bring my Dahon® Folding bike I call Foldy. Amtrak would take about 2 days to get to Atlanta via Washington DC. So I thought of doing the Kerouac thing and venture by bus. By the way I don't own, or ever have owned a car. I do own two bikes though. So I had dinner with my neighbors and then took a cab to Gr… Continue

My Mom is a Pouter

So the on going visit with my mom has reminded me that my mom is a pouter. Always have been always will be. Tonight we went to dinner and off to the Cummer Museum for a new exhibit. The exhibit is the West Collection from the High. That was pleasant enough. On our way to eat, we have my 5 year old niece and her limited food wants. I suggested a few place. Real Fl BBQ (We had that on Sunday.) How about Biscotti's a Bistro (that was turned down. In my neighborhood there are restaurants but a fair… Continue

Alice is Lost! A Mystery of Puzzles

http://www.aliceislost.com/intro.html So the last couple of weeks I have been reading the introduction to Alice is Lost for the up coming ARG (Alternative Reality Game) by Eric Harshberger. The game of puzzles should start in the fall. Gameforce Magazine actually had an article pretaining to such games. I have delved into the the Beast for the movie AI. I just have forgotten how much fun puzzles can be as of late. I who used to have a subscription to Gaming Magazine for years. I just got caugh… Continue

Family Togetherness

is there such a thing as too much? I think so. As everyone knows my mom, whom I do love, has been in J-ville for 18 days no and will leave the 26th. As she is not staying with me, (I have stairs and she does not get about well) she is at my sister's house (my sister is on deployment and this has been my brother in law's idea to bring her down. She is missing out on the fun) and they live in Jville terms, miles and miles from me. Since i bike everywhere and gas is so high I have been staying over… Continue

Visit with Mom - David Lynch

My mom has been in town for the month until the 26th. So I have not been around online. Just some notes. I hate people. I hope my brother inlaw wins the lottery. He plays a lot. Work Sucks. Movie at lunch is Mulholland Drive. Funny that David Lynch will be on Talk of the Nation. For you Atlanta folks is it true that during the public cow displays, someone asked Lynch to create a cow? And he did indeed create one but it was in the true vein of David Lynch's art. A vivisectioned cow? Continue

July 3th Right before the 4th

A sad note as I posted earlier in the day that Beverly Sills has passed away. A great American singer. My mother and friends have loved this woman for her talent and endless work in getting New York City Opera (it is down the street and then some from the Met) out of bankruptcy and making City Opera just as good a place to see and here opera as the Met. She will be missed. Well tomorrow is the fourth anyone doing anything interesing? Other than getting a slight rest during the middle of the wee… Continue

Thursday Lunch 6-28

Today's video Fur with Nichole Kidman. It deals with the imaginary biography of Diane Arbus. I wish I was paying attention a little bit more but, I was on the phone trying to get an extra night out of the Hyatt after Dragon Con. It is amazing that the hotel is sold out on Monday Night after we are supposed to leave. The Hyatt a few miles away is 198.00 a night. I got a descent rate at the Marriott. So Monday I will vacate the Hyatt (If the Marriott had not been sold out I would have stayed ther… Continue
